R134a still dominates the Saudi vehicle fleet, every car and light commercial vehicle built before 2017 runs it. That means auto AC service is a constant demand in any workshop or mobile operation in the Kingdom. High side, low side, manifold gauge set in the middle. How to Use This Coupler Correctly

Attach the coupler by pressing the quick-connect body straight onto the service port fitting until you feel it seat, then lock it down by turning the collar. Do not apply sideways force to the coupler while connecting this can damage the Schrader valve inside the service port.
With the coupler connected and locked, open the manifold gauge set’s high-side valve slowly. A sudden pressure equalization can damage the gauge and the coupler body. Open slowly, read the static pressure, then start the engine and AC system before reading operating pressures.
To disconnect: with the manifold gauge set closed, turn the coupler collar back to the unlock position and pull straight off the service port. A small refrigerant release at disconnect is normal this is residual gas in the coupler body, not a leak.
How to Maintenance the Coupler
Clean the coupler body and quick-connect mechanism after every service job. Refrigerant oil and contaminants from the vehicle’s AC system coat the coupler internals over time. A contaminated coupler can introduce debris into the next vehicle’s system.
Flush the coupler body with R134a flush solvent or a clean refrigerant shot periodically. Blow dry with dry nitrogen. Store couplers with the dust cap fitted over the connection end to prevent debris ingress between jobs.
Inspect the O-ring seal on the quick-connect body regularly. A worn or cracked O-ring causes refrigerant leakage at the connection during service wasted refrigerant and an incomplete charge. Replacement O-rings are available and inexpensive. Replace at the first sign of leakage from the coupler connection.
Check the Schrader depressor pin length. If it’s bent or worn short, it may not fully open the service port valve, resulting in restricted flow during charging and inaccurate pressure readings. Replace the coupler if the depressor pin is damaged.
