PVC pipe wrap tape used for

PVC Pipe Wrap Tape for PIPE WRAP and SURFACE PROTECTION – Provides electrical protection; protects pipe joints, conduit couplings for overhead or direct buried applications; excellent masking tape for hard chrome plating and anodizing. It provides a very effective vapor and moisture barrier.

To ensure a good seal, wrap the tape in the direction of the threads. You only need to use 2-3 wraps of tape, however, thinner tape may need 4-5 wraps. Make sure you start wrapping at the end of the fitting, covering the end to prevent the thread from seizing.
