Key Features:

  • Original Beko washing machine door lock by Metalflex, model ZV-446, designed for front-loading washing machines.
  • Safety door lock with a time-delay mechanism that keeps the door locked after the cycle ends until the drum comes to a complete stop.
  • Helps resolve washing machine startup issues caused by a door that does not lock properly.
  • Part numbers: 2805310400 / 2805310100 / 2805311400.
  • Compatible with selected Beko, Blomberg, and other washing machine models. Check the model number before ordering, or send us a photo of your old door lock via WhatsApp at 0540663777 to confirm compatibility.
  • Installation is straightforward, but professional installation is recommended because this is an electrical component.
Description

Check the terminal markings before you wire it. This lock’s terminals are marked by function, N (neutral), L (line) and C (common) not by number. Most door locks on the market, including the ROLD, Bitron and SELONG units we also stock, use numbered terminals. If you are used to those, there is no number to map across. Photograph the wiring on the old lock before you disconnect it and match wire for wire by position.

Other brands on the same platform

Baumatic · Euromaid · Fisher & Paykel · Lemair · Belling · Euro, including CI555WH. These machines are built by the same manufacturer as Beko and share the interlock.

If your model is not listed, check the part number on the rating plate inside the door frame, or send us a photo of the old lock.

What this part does

The interlock tells the control board the door is shut and holds it shut while the drum turns. Nothing starts until its contacts close,  no fill, no wash, no spin.

It works by a PTC thermal element rather than a solenoid. Power reaches the element, it heats and expands, and the latch drives home. At the end of the cycle the power is cut and the element must cool before the latch releases, which is why a Beko front loader keeps the door shut for a short period after the programme ends. That delay is designed behaviour, not a fault.

Is the interlock actually the fault?

Points to the lock

  • Door shuts and latches mechanically, but the machine will not start the programme
  • No audible click from the lock when the cycle is started
  • Machine fills but will not spin, with the door firmly shut
  • Door stays locked indefinitely after the cycle, long after the drum has stopped
  • Continuity test across the switched terminals shows an open circuit after the lock has been energised

Points to something else

  • Door will not latch mechanically: hinge, striker plate or door seal
  • Machine dead, no display: supply, capacitor or main board
  • Cycle completes and the door opens normally: the interlock is working
  • Fault returns immediately with a new lock fitted: the control board side

Before you test: disconnect the machine from the mains. The interlock terminals carry 250 V during operation. Never test for continuity on a live machine.

How to confirm this is your part

  1. Read the old lock. Look for ZV-446 and the METALFLEX name moulded into the body.
  2. Check the variant code. This unit is marked M5. Metalflex also produces an M8 variant sold under different Beko part numbers. If your old lock reads M8, tell us before ordering.
  3. Check the terminal markings. N, L and C. A lock with numbered terminals is a different part.
  4. Match your machine against the model list above, or check the part number on the rating plate.
  5. Send us a photo if anything is unclear. We confirm the fitment before you pay.

Why buy from Cool.sa

  • We publish the model list. Forty-seven machines named, not “fits most Beko washers”.
  • We name the manufacturer, variant and endurance class, including the M5/M8 distinction most sellers never mention.
  • Full Beko part-number cross-reference, so you can match whichever number is on your machine.
  • Stock in Riyadh and Khamis Mushait, not an overseas order placed after you pay.
  • Fitment confirmed from a photo, with trade pricing for workshops.

Frequently asked questions

Q1. Will this fit my Beko washing machine?

Check the model list above first, it covers forty-seven Beko machines. If yours is listed, this is the part. If it is not, check the part number on the rating plate against our cross-reference list, or send us a photo of the old lock.

Q2. My old lock is marked ZV446-M8. Can I use this one?

Tell us before you order. Metalflex produces the ZV-446 in variants, and M5 and M8 are sold under different Beko part numbers. We will confirm whether they interchange on your machine rather than let you find out after fitting.

Q3. My terminals are numbered, not marked N, L and C. Is this still right?

If your old lock has numbered terminals it is a different manufacturer’s part, we stock those too. If your Beko machine is on the list above, this is the correct interlock and your wiring will match by position. Photograph the connections before disconnecting either way.

Q4. Does it fit Baumatic, Euromaid or Fisher & Paykel?

Several models from those brands are built on the same platform as Beko and take this interlock. Check your machine’s part number or send us a photo and we will confirm.

Q5. The door stays shut for a minute or two after the wash. Is it faulty?

No. A PTC thermal interlock releases as the element cools, so a short delay at the end of every cycle is by design. A door that never releases, or that only opens after you cut power at the breaker, is a different matter.

Q6. Can I bypass the lock?

No. Bridging the interlock lets the drum spin with the door unsecured. This is the one component on a washing machine that exists purely as a safety device.
