How to Wear Them Correctly

Poor fit costs most of the protection. Work through this:

1. Slot the cup arms into the hard hat’s side accessory slots until they click home.
2. Adjust the height so the cushion covers the whole ear, not part of it.
3. Confirm the cushion contacts skin all the way around with no gap.
4. Watch for seal breakers: thick hair, heavy safety-glasses temples, a raised collar, or a cap under the helmet. Any one of them breaks the seal and leaks noise, a single small gap costs a large share of the protection.
5. Use the stand-by position when stepping away from noise, rather than removing the muffs and setting them down.
6. Never modify, drill or dismantle them  any modification voids both the rating and the warranty.

Wearing Them Through a Saudi Summer

• Use the stand-by position. Lifting the cups clear when away from noise allows ventilation without full removal, and full removal is what leads to them being forgotten.

• Clean cups with a cloth, water and mild soap. Avoid solvents, alcohol and petrol, they damage plastic and cushions.
• Dry cushions thoroughly before refitting.
• Check the arm and pivots any looseness means insufficient clamping pressure and sound leakage.
• Replace cushions and liners periodically with HYX2 rather than replacing the whole muff.
• Store dry and out of sunlight in the designated storage position.
• Replace the whole unit if the cup body cracks or the arm deforms.
