Description
Duct connector is a fitting which connects two ductworks together. Duct connectors are obtainable in various types of materials such as metal, cloth and plastic. They have been used in HVAC equipment where they connect fans and blowers.
Flexible duct connectors are extensively incorporated in commercial, industrial as well as residential air conditioning systems. They are positioned within the connecting ducts in small spaces while other connectors are fixed in the joining channels that may shrink or expand.

What is a duct connector?
All air duct installations for heating, cooling, or ventilation are attached to mechanical equipment containing a fan or bowler. Vibration, noises, and rattles resulting from the operation of the fan or bowler are transmitted into the metal ducts which carry the noises throughout the system. In order to isolate the vibration and noise to the source, an air-tight flexible joint, consisting of a fabric that is secured to sheet metal on both sides, must be inserted between the equipment and the ductwork. This flexible joint is called a “flexible duct connector”.
