This fire blanket measures 1.2 × 1.2 metres and is made from non combustible woven glass fibre, used to extinguish small fires in their first moments by cutting off the oxygen supply rather than by applying a suppressant.

No. Fire blankets meeting EN 1869 are rated single use. Discard after any deployment and replace immediately, even if it looks completely undamaged, because glass fibre degrades under heat invisibly.

Yes, and it is the most appropriate tool for exactly that. Never use water on an oil fire, because it flashes to steam instantly and throws burning oil in every direction.
