Trane SEN02133 Chiller Temperature Sensor
The Trane SEN02133 is the standard temperature sensor used across Trane chillers running Tracer CH530 and Tracer TD7 controls. It measures across a wide range of −40 to 120 °C and reports to the controller through a male global connector. That reading underpins compressor loading and unloading, freeze protection, and delta T calculation across the heat exchangers.
This sensor is the fifth and current generation in an ongoing improvement chain from the manufacturer, superseding four earlier part numbers. The difference between them isn’t renumbering, each generation brought real manufacturing improvements, most notably addressing moisture ingress into the probe body.
Two things before you order. The sensor requires programming, the official specification states it explicitly, and it ships unprogrammed. And if you’re replacing a much older generation, you may need wire harness adapter KIT12559, because connector types changed across generations.
Cool.sa holds this sensor as a genuine OEM part within our range of chiller spare parts, stocked inside Saudi Arabia, with a VAT invoice and delivery to project sites across the Kingdom.
Key Features
- Wide measuring range: 40 to 120 °C, covering water, air and gas applications on the chiller
- Fully overmolded body: a sealed construction resisting moisture ingress, which is the substantive improvement over earlier generations
- Male global connector: standardised across modern Trane platforms
- Latest generation in a five-generation improvement chain, not just another substitute
- Genuine Trane OEM with the original thermal curve
- Consolidated replacement for four earlier part numbers, so one current part serves a very broad installed base
- Very small and light: urgent air freight costs almost nothing
Benefits of Using This Product
A drifting sensor doesn’t stop the chiller, and that’s precisely the problem. The unit runs, no alarm appears, and the controller acts on a wrong number it trusts completely. The result is over-loaded compressors or undercooling, and in both cases higher energy consumption nobody can account for.
The specific advantage of this generation is that it addresses a root cause rather than a symptom. Earlier generations of this sensor suffered moisture ingress into the probe body, and internal moisture produces gradual drift followed by intermittent readings. The overmolded construction closes that path. In Saudi conditions, Eastern Province humidity and high daily temperature swings that isn’t a theoretical benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Is this a genuine Trane part?
Yes. This is a genuine Trane OEM part supplied in original packaging with factory marking. Source documentation is available on request.
Q2. Does the sensor need programming?
Yes. The official specification states that programming is required, and the sensor is supplied unprogrammed. After installation, it must be configured to your specific unit using the appropriate service tool.
Q3. My old sensor is SEN01959 or SEN01314. Is SEN02133 the replacement?
Yes. The manufacturer’s documented progression is SEN00981 → SEN01211 → SEN01314 → SEN01959 → SEN02133. SEN02133 is the current part number in this progression.
Q4. Is this just a renumbering, or is it a real improvement?
It is a genuine design improvement, not simply a part number change. Each generation addressed documented manufacturing issues, with moisture ingress into the probe body being one of the key concerns. The current generation uses an overmolded construction to address this issue.
Q5. What’s the measuring range?
The sensor has a measuring range of −40 °C to 120 °C.
